This Biaxial Tape is a Non Crimp Fabric (NCF) carbon fibre, and is made up of layers of parallel fibres laid in 2 orientations, stitched with texturized polyester yarn. This tape is the most commonly used Biaxial orientation at ±45º. Because each layer can be placed in a different orientation or axis, it provides strength and stiffness in multiple directions.
Carbon multiaxials are used predominantly in manufacturing components for the aerospace, automotive, marine and industrial markets due to their unique properties.
