Finishline is a needled polyester felt with no chemical binder, it can be used behind the gel coat to prevent print through of glass reinforcement pattern, also because it has no binder it greatly enhances the chemical resistance of the laminate, as well as preventing osmotic water penetration. As a finishing mat to the back of a laminate it will give an improved visual appearance as well as making the laminate nicer to handle

Can i apply the polyester veil on the Gel - coat when it is still wet?
No, the finishline polyester veil must be applied to the surface Gelcoat when it is tack dry, this means tacky to touch but not wet, usually 2-3 hours at room temperature after applied.
Can i use this under a closed mould, will it prevent print through under vacuum?
Yes, this is one of the intended uses of Finishline, it is designed to prevent print through of other layers of reinforcement onto the from face of the part.
