This polyester casting resin is a pre-accelerated, orthopthalthic unsaturated resin.
It is suitable for small detailed castings which will have excellent dimensional stability, and finished castings have excellent painting and staining properties.
Can also be pigmented with suitable pigment pastes.
This resin should be allowed to reach workshop temperature (18-20 deg C) before use. Catalyst should be added at 2%.
Please ensure catalyst is mixed thoroughly before adding filler powders.
Pigmenting this product with light colours especially whites can leave bluey green tinge due to the colour change indicator in the resin. Pigmenting the resin is best done to achieve a base colour prior to painting your casts rather than trying to achieve a brilliant white finish with pigments alone. Castings should be left for several weeks before painting to achieve a post cure. Painting too soon can cause the paint to blister due to styrene emissions present soon after initial curing. Castings can be then be painted with acrylic primers and paints.
Full drums of casting resin are available with or without catalyst.

Can i add a filler powder to this casting resin to add weight to the cast?
Yes, filler powders such as talc or marble powder will be suitable for this purpose.
